GREEK BURGERS

  • Makes: 8 burgers

  • Ingredients:
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 2 tbs fresh mint, chopped
    • 1½ c. non/lowfat yougurt
    • 1½ lbs. ground turkey, lean
    • 2¼ tsp. feta cheese, crumbled
    • 6 pita bread loves, cut in half
    • 1½ tomatoes, sliced
    • 1½ red onions, sliced

  • Directions:
    • Combine garlic and mint in a small bowl and mash.
    • Add yogurt, mix and set aside.
    • Combine turkey and feta cheese in a mixing bowl.
    • Broil 5-10 minutes per side or until turkey is cooked thorugh.
    • Serve in pita bread with tomatoes, onions, and yogurt sauce.

  • Nutritional Information:
    • Serving Size - 1 patty
    • Calories - 350
    • Fat - 3 gr
    • Cholesterol - 80 mg
    • Protein - 38 gr
    • Fiber - 2.5 gr
    • Sodium - 500 mg
